The Biggest 90’s-00’s Disco Comes To Punchestown on June 23rd-24th

The Biggest 90’s-00’s Disco Comes To Punchestown on June 23rd-24th

Get your dancing shoes on, because the countdown to the Biggest 90's-00's Disco Festival has begun!

Taking place on June 23rd-24th at Punchestown, this epic event is not only about the music and nostalgia but also about making history. In an ambitious attempt, the festival organizers have tasked Irish company Spectrum Productions with building the world's biggest disco ball, surpassing the current record of 10.33 meters set by Bestival Festival in 2014. Not only that, but, The Biggest Disco team is also aiming to launch the world's largest confetti cannon, showering the crowd of disco revellers with a whopping 500 kilograms of biodegradable confetti in a vibrant rainbow of colors, aiming to break the previous record also set by Bestival in 2017 with 250 kilograms of confetti.

After the sensational success of its inaugural year, this year's festival is set to be even bigger, with an expected attendance of 20,000 disco fans ready to dance the night away across five sensational stages in Kildare.

An epic line up of 90’s and 00’s disco icons is set to perform including Peter Andre, Darude, Blue, Basshunter, DJ Sammy and many more, guaranteeing ticket holders over ten hours of nostalgic fun.

A spokesperson for the festival said:

“We are back and bigger than ever with two world record attempts this year. The disco ball is nearly one tonne in weight and has over 1500 mirror tiles on it. We can’t wait to see the festival filled with confetti on Saturday night when we launch hundreds of thousands of confetti pieces into the air!”

Fans can expect an immersive experience featuring flash mobs, confetti, fire, CO2 jets, drone shows, fireworks, and many more surprises as over 75 acts from the 90’s and 00’s take to the stage.

Tickets are available at BiggestDisco.ie with tickets starting at €58.30. (Over 18’s only), and with a bus schedule from all over the country to bring revellers straight to the gates it promises to be a great day and night in the summer festival diary.
